Tove ♥

A favourite illustrator always and forever is Tove Jansson and now that I post so many black and white pictures, I picked this one with Moomin. I use to keep her book The Invisible Child within reach at home.

My Wasted Life

I love this documentary about Matt Groening. Besides letting us know how he came up with some of The Simpsons characters he also talks about the great black and white cartoon he made called Life In Hell, being a teenager in the 60's and discovering the works of other creative pop culture-talents.

My favourite dress

I like putting clothes on my 2-D girls that I have in my own closet, like this gorgeous 30's dress that I once got in Stockholm.

Hans Arnold

One illustrator's work that I often looked at as a child growing up in Sweden, was Hans Arnold's. He often draws beautiful women/girls and ugly monsters. The images are quite detailed and dreamlike. One famous illustration he did was for an Abba cover. I have started looking at Arnold's works more often again and remembering how scary they felt sometimes but one still couldn't stop staring.
