ANNIKA AND STINA WALK "THE LINE OF STYLE"
Gallery Nucleus is holding its first fashion show with "Line of Style" which opens April 3rd, and among the artists are two names who have been continuously involved i the fashion world the recent years: Annika Wester and Stina Persson.
Annika and Stina both sent us previews to us of their new pieces for the show. We love how they demonstrate two original and completely different approaches to fashion illustration.
Annika used a serving tray as her unusual canvas, evoking a hip-vintage vibe that she is celebrated for.

NK touristcampaign with Essential Guide & New Arrivals signs

The images show three out of 15 maps I did for guidebooks as a part of a tourist campaign for NK department store in Sweden. They were also largely exposed in NK Gothenburg shoppingwindows. The maps are the innercity parts of Stockholm and Gothenburg with handtexted street, places, building-and restaurantnames. Essential Guide will now be reprinted. It is for free and can be found in the NK stores. The art director for them was Pia-Maria Falk.

The maps were also exposed large in NK Gothenburg shopping windows.

I also illustrated some summery New Arrivals-& price signs like this one.

Hans Arnold

One illustrator's work that I often looked at as a child growing up in Sweden, was Hans Arnold's. He often draws beautiful women/girls and ugly monsters. The images are quite detailed and dreamlike. One famous illustration he did was for an Abba cover. I have started looking at Arnold's works more often again and remembering how scary they felt sometimes but one still couldn't stop staring.
